Scientist - Synthetic Virus RNA Process Development

Our Biotech client is looking for a highly qualified and motivated applicant Scientist
This role will offer a fantastic chance to create reliable, industrial procedures for the synthesis and purification of innovative synthetic viral RNA (vRNA) for cGMP implementation and scale-up. In addition to working with members of the CMC, Research, Pre-clinical, and Clinical teams, the candidate will be expected to advance development initiatives and support upcoming IND submissions. The correct person will be crucial in assisting them in maximizing the capabilities of their synthetic virus platform technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with external experts and Research and Process Development Teams to transform their science into effective GMP manufacturing process
- Lead optimization and scaling-up of in vitro transcription to produce vRNA (IVT)
- Create reliable, scalable procedures for viral RNA purification
- Oversee process development, scaling up, and knowledge transfer to both internal and external manufacturing sites, as well as offer person-in-plant assistance during manufacturing campaigns
- Work along with colleagues in the Analytical Development department to create techniques for evaluating the identification, purity, and stability of vRNA
- Participate in internal R&D projects to create, produce, and evaluate synthetic virus development candidates in conjunction with molecular biology and pharmacology units
Key Qualifications:
- Experience producing, purifying, and/or analyzing in-vitro transcribed (IVT) RNA is a need for the ideal applicant
- It would be ideal if you have experience with chromatography or filtration
- Prior expertise optimizing multi-variate design space using DoE and statistical data analysis is desired
- Understanding of how to operate a bioprocess purification unit for proteins, viruses, DNA, RNA, or other related macromolecules
- Have experience producing and purifying big biomolecules using cGMPs
