A pioneering and specialised contract research organisation (CRO), is seeking a visionary and commercially astute leader to join its team as a Head of Sales . This strategic role is based in Europe with full remote flexibility and requires international travel to engage with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Renowned for its excellence in pre-clinical services, supporting pharmaceutical and biotech's with cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale the global commercial strategy, aligning business development, marketing, and client services to drive sustainable growth.
- Identify and capitalise on emerging market opportunities, trends, and partnerships to expand the company's footprint in the pre-clinical CRO space.
- Build and nurture high-level relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), strategic partners, and major clients.
- Oversee the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and client engagement plans.
- Represent at international conferences and industry events to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, operational, and executive teams to ensure commercial alignment with innovation and delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing commercial team across Europe.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (master's or PhD preferred) in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles within the CRO or life sciences industry.
- Deep understanding of the preclinical or discovery market.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and leading commercial teams.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including GLP, GxP
- Based in Europe with willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
