Regional Sales Manager - Northwest
A leading organization in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is needed to join the commercial sales leadership team. This individual will play a pivotal role in launching and expanding a new product franchise. The RSM will lead a high-performing sales team, drive strategic execution, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure regional success.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, and develop a top-tier sales team to support product launches and drive performance.
- Coach and inspire team members to excel in both in-person and virtual sales environments using an omni-channel approach.
- Recognize and reward individual and team achievements, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Analyze customer insights and market trends to inform regional strategies and sales execution.
- Partner with internal teams to shape and implement sales capabilities, including training, operations, and territory planning.
- Ensure alignment and communication of national strategies at the regional and territory levels.
- Promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in sales tactics and customer engagement.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders and large group practices in gastroenterology.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify, develop, and retain top talent within the region.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- At least 2-3 years in a sales leadership role preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven success in specialty pharmaceutical sales, including experience with product launches.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, ethical, and collaborative sales teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of innovative problem-solving and relationship-building.
- Experience launching first-in-class or market-leading brands is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- High ethical standards and a reputation for integrity and trust.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Northwest region.
