Director Business Development Opportunity

Our client is a Fortune 500 healthcare organization who is seeking to invest heavily into its Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) offering. As part of that investment, they are seeking to hire a Director of Business Development who play a key role in fostering strategic partnerships, driving business growth, and shaping long-term success in the industry. This permanent role operates remotely within the United States with a 25% travel requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with HR buyers such as Benefits Managers, VPs of HR, and third-party consultants or brokers to expand business opportunities.
  • Leverage your Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) to identify and act on emerging market trends and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized solutions that meet the needs of both clients and consultants.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in the healthcare and employee benefits arena.

Skills and Experience

  • Relationship Management: Expertise in cultivating relationships with HR leaders and third-party consultants/brokers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Pharmacy Benefit Management, employee benefits, and PBM services.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and business development skills to identify growth opportunities.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills to craft persuasive narratives.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in either math, science, business, marketing, health administration or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
