About the Role
As Head of Sales EU, you'll lead the regional sales strategy, manage a team of sales professionals, and drive business growth in the polyamides sector. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for commercial performance, client relationships, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across the EU region.
- Set and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Own full P&L responsibility for the regional sales function.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Account Management
- Strengthen and grow relationships with existing strategic accounts.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise value.
- Partner with technical teams to deliver customised, high-performance solutions.
- Stay ahead of market trends and customer needs to inform strategy.
New Business Development
- Identify and secure new clients within the polyamides sector.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
- Lead commercial negotiations and close high-value deals.
- Represent the company at key industry events and trade shows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with marketing, R&D, and supply chain teams to deliver on commercial goals.
- Provide customer insights to guide product innovation and development.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate CRM records and manage a robust sales pipeline.
- Deliver regular performance updates and strategic insights to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales leadership within specialty chemicals or a related field.
- Experience managing teams and owning P&L responsibilities.
- Strong background in key account management and strategic selling.
- Expertise understanding of polyamides and their industrial applications in industrial markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English, French or German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly across France and Italy.
