Director of Market Access and Reimbursement
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of global market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies.
- Build and scale the Global Market Access function to support current and future product portfolios.
- Align payer value propositions with brand strategy and clinical evidence.
Payer Engagement & Value Communication:
- Develop compelling payer value propositions for diagnostic technologies.
- Create and maintain global value dossiers, reimbursement submissions, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct reimbursement landscape assessments and identify market access barriers and opportunities.
Evidence Generation & HEOR:
- Oversee the development of cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, and PRO strategies.
- Drive HEOR publication strategy to support product differentiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with clinical and regulatory teams to ensure evidence generation aligns with payer needs.
Market Expertise:
- Serve as the internal expert on U.S. market access, including state-level reimbursement processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on coding, coverage, and payment pathways across global markets.
- Monitor evolving healthcare policy and reimbursement trends to inform business strategy.
Contracting & Negotiation:
- Lead or support payer and provider contract negotiations to secure favorable reimbursement terms.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and commercial teams to structure innovative access agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regional and national contracting regulations and standards.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure integrated market access planning.
- Represent the company in external forums, payer meetings, and industry associations.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in global market access, HEOR, or health policy within the diagnostics or medical device industry.
- Proven success in building and leading global market access functions.
- Deep expertise in U.S. reimbursement systems and payer engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in payer/provider contracting and negotiation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced degree in health economics, public health, life sciences, or related field preferred.
