Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Manager North Germany to join a growing pharmaceutical company specializing in Immunology. This leadership role is responsible for driving commercial performance, developing regional strategy, and leading a high-performing field-based team across Northern Germany.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of the company's immunology strategy. This position requires a strong blend of leadership, commercial acumen, account management expertise, and a deep understanding of the German healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy aligned with national business objectives.
  • Deliver sales and market share growth across the Northern Germany territory.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Key Account Managers and Regional Sales Representatives.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and implement strategic actions to drive continuous improvement.

Strategic Account Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across university hospitals, specialist centres, and regional healthcare networks.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on driving patient access and product adoption.
  • Support complex negotiations and high-level customer interactions where required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a best-in-class commercial team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, territory assessments, and field coaching sessions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and Market Research teams.
  • Ensure effective implementation of brand strategies at a regional level.
  • Contribute valuable market intelligence and competitive insights to support business decision-making.

Market Access & Healthcare Environment

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the German healthcare system, reimbursement processes, and regional payer dynamics.
  • Identify and address barriers to patient access within key accounts.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen relationships with healthcare providers and decision-makers.

Business Planning & Forecasting

  • Manage regional budgets and resource allocation.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and business updates to senior leadership.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Significant pharmaceutical industry experience, including leadership of regional or national commercial teams.
  • Proven success within specialty care, biologics, or immunology-focused therapeutic areas.
  • Strong understanding of the German healthcare and reimbursement landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and develop high-performing teams.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Northern Germany.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within Immunology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, or Rare Disease.
  • Launch experience for specialty or biologic therapies.
  • Previous responsibility for strategic account management and regional P&L performance.
  • Experience working within matrix organizations and cross-functional commercial structures.
