Salary: 190-225k base + bonus, car allowance, and long term incentives


The Opportunity

A unique opportunity for a commercially minded relationship leader to play a key role in shaping engagement strategies across the rare disease and specialty healthcare landscape.

As Associate Director, Strategic Stakeholder Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with influential healthcare experts, treatment centers, advocacy stakeholders, and emerging opinion leaders. You will gather critical market insights, support launch readiness activities, and help inform commercial strategy through direct engagement with the healthcare community.

Working closely with leadership across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Patient Services, you will serve as a strategic voice of the customer while helping shape educational initiatives and future growth strategies.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced scientific, clinical, business, or healthcare-related degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or related life sciences industries.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, field strategy, commercial leadership, medical affairs, specialty sales, marketing, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts.
  • Background supporting rare disease, neurology, specialty therapeutics, oncology, or other complex disease areas preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, referral pathways, and treatment decision-making dynamics.
  • Experience leading advisory boards, educational initiatives, congress planning, or strategic stakeholder programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large geography.
  • Ability to analyze market feedback and transform insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of industry compliance requirements and customer engagement standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing national field team focused on expert engagement and strategic insight generation.
  • Translate corporate and brand objectives into actionable field strategies that drive business impact.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement plans across regional and national opinion leaders, centers of excellence, and multidisciplinary care networks.
  • Ensure a coordinated, compliant, and customer-centric approach to key stakeholder interactions.
  • Synthesize marketplace insights and emerging trends to inform commercialization strategies, launch planning, and future investments.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align stakeholder engagement efforts across commercial and medical functions.
  • Provide strategic oversight of advisory board initiatives, educational programs, and external expert activities.
  • Support major industry conferences and congresses, ensuring impactful engagement with key external stakeholders.
  • Guide launch readiness initiatives through identification of educational gaps, evolving treatment trends, and unmet patient needs.
