About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Director, Client Services & Strategy to lead a newly awarded Agency of Record (AOR) engagement in the oncology space. This is a highly visible, ground-floor opportunity to shape the partnership, define strategic direction, and build an integrated agency model from the inside out.

You will serve as a senior client leader, strategic partner, and internal integrator-aligning cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, insight-driven work that meets evolving client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Partnership
- Serve as the senior day-to-day client lead, fostering trusted, consultative relationships with key stakeholders
- Help define and evolve the AOR engagement model, setting expectations, processes, and ways of working
- Anticipate client needs and proactively provide strategic guidance across brand, portfolio, and business challenges
- Lead key client meetings, including brand planning sessions, workshops, and executive presentations
Strategic Direction
- Drive integrated brand strategy grounded in market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer understanding (HCP, patient, etc.)
- Partner closely with medical, creative, and analytics teams to translate insights into compelling, actionable strategies
- Ensure all deliverables align with brand objectives, regulatory considerations, and scientific rigor
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the oncology portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a central connector across agency disciplines (creative, medical, media, digital, data/analytics)
- Champion a collaborative, flexible culture, adapting to shifting priorities and evolving client demands
- Roll up your sleeves when needed-contributing across workstreams to maintain momentum and quality
- Mentor and guide junior team members while fostering a high-performing, accountable team environment
Business & Operational Leadership
- Support organic growth opportunities, identifying areas to expand scope and deepen partnership
- Oversee project health, resourcing, and financial performance to ensure sustainable delivery
- Help establish scalable processes that balance structure with flexibility
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical advertising or marketing, with strong oncology experience preferred
- Proven success leading AOR or large-scale integrated accounts
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to connect science, data, and creativity
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, build-as-you-go environments
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
