- Anticipate client needs and proactively provide strategic guidance across brand, portfolio, and business challenges
- Lead key client meetings, including brand planning sessions, workshops, and executive presentations
Strategic Direction
- Drive integrated brand strategy grounded in market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer understanding (HCP, patient, etc.)
- Partner closely with medical, creative, and analytics teams to translate insights into compelling, actionable strategies
- Ensure all deliverables align with brand objectives, regulatory considerations, and scientific rigor
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the oncology portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a central connector across agency disciplines (creative, medical, media, digital, data/analytics)
- Champion a collaborative, flexible culture, adapting to shifting priorities and evolving client demands
- Roll up your sleeves when needed-contributing across workstreams to maintain momentum and quality
- Mentor and guide junior team members while fostering a high-performing, accountable team environment
Business & Operational Leadership
- Support organic growth opportunities, identifying areas to expand scope and deepen partnership
- Oversee project health, resourcing, and financial performance to ensure sustainable delivery
- Help establish scalable processes that balance structure with flexibility
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical advertising or marketing, with strong oncology experience preferred
- Proven success leading AOR or large-scale integrated accounts
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to connect science, data, and creativity
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous, build-as-you-go environments
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Ideal Candidate Traits
- Hands-on leader who isn't afraid to dive into the details when needed
- Deeply passionate about oncology and improving patient outcomes
- Flexible and adaptable, able to pivot quickly in response to client needs
- Naturally collaborative, bringing teams together to solve complex challenges
- Entrepreneurial mindset-excited to build, shape, and grow a new AOR relationship
- High emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills
