Associate Director, Marketing KOL Engagement
Overview:
- Leads the strategy and execution of HCP engagement initiatives, including peer-to-peer education and speaker programs, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and commercial objectives
- Oversees speaker bureau operations end-to-end, including speaker selection, training, content alignment, compliance, execution, and performance tracking to drive meaningful engagement
- Develops and executes advisory board strategy and KOL engagement plans to generate actionable insights that inform brand positioning and tactical decision-making
- Partners closely with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Compliance, and Analytics to ensure seamless, aligned, and compliant program execution
- Supports national and regional congress strategy, product theaters, and field-facing educational initiatives to enhance HCP awareness and adoption
- Manages external agency partners, budgets, and timelines while driving operational excellence and ensuring high-quality program delivery
- Leverages data, analytics, and customer insights to continuously evaluate performance and optimize engagement strategies for greater impact
Experience:
- 8-10+ years of biopharma or commercial marketing experience, with a strong focus on HCP engagement and promotional strategy
- Deep experience leading speaker programs, peer-to-peer education initiatives, and KOL engagement strategies within highly regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple functions to drive alignment and execution
- Proven track record supporting specialty product launches and translating complex clinical data and market insights into actionable marketing strategies
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience working with data and insights teams to measure program performance and inform ongoing strategy refinement
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, bringing a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency to deliver results
