Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and personable Senior Business Development Manager with strong soft skills and a passion for innovation scouting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds relationships with ease, and can drive early-stage deal-making with confidence and clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scout and evaluate early-stage opportunities (preclinical to Phase 1) across Europe and the U.S.
• Support transaction execution and due diligence processes.
• Build and maintain a strong network within biotech, academia, and VC communities.
• Act as project lead for specific business opportunities, coordinating internal stakeholders.
• Translate scientific and technical data into strategic business insights.
• Work closely with the Director of S&E to align on pipeline priorities and deal flow.

Qualifications:

• Scientific background (BSc/MSc minimum; PhD a plus).
• 5+ years in business development or external innovation roles in biotech/pharma.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence without authority.
• Experience in deal-making or supporting transactions.
• Comfortable navigating uncertainty and making informed decisions quickly.
• International experience and a collaborative mindset.
