About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Engineer to join a leading medical device company on-site in Germany. This is a hands-on role ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical design, prototyping, and manufacturing support within regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing
• Create and review technical drawings, CAD models, and documentation
• Support verification and validation activities
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the medical device sector
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo)
• Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices
• Ability to work independently and on-site in Germany
• EU work authorization or existing right to work in Germany

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cleanroom environments
• Knowledge of risk management and design controls
• German language skills
