Start Date: Early September 2025
Contract Length: Initial 12 Months (Extendable)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Overview:
We are currently supporting a long-standing and trusted pharmaceutical client in their search for Senior Automation Engineers to join a high-impact, long-term project starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a globally recognised organisation on a contract basis, contributing to cutting-edge automation initiatives within a GMP-regulated environment.

Role Summary:
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of automation systems across pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. You will be embedded within a growing team of specialists, supporting the delivery of complex automation solutions using Siemens PCS7. The role requires a strong understanding of GMP standards and hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting PCS7 systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support automation engineering activities across multiple projects.
  • Design, develop, and implement PCS7-based control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including validation, quality, and operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automation engineering within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Proven expertise in Siemens PCS7 systems.
  • Strong understanding of automation lifecycle, validation, and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and commit to a 40-hour work week.
  • Right to work in the Netherlands

Contract Details:

  • Initial 12-month contract with high potential for extension.
  • Onsite presence required.
  • Competitive daily rate (negotiable based on experience).
