About the Role

This rapidly growing pharma company is looking for a Formulation Scientist with expertise in solid oral dosage forms to join their expanding pharmaceutical development team. This role is ideal for a scientist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about developing high-quality drug products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of solid oral formulations including tablets, capsules, and granules, supporting both early-stage and late-stage development programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize formulations for solid oral dosage forms (IR, MR, ER tablets and capsules).
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, excipient compatibility, and stability assessments.
• Support scale-up, tech transfer, and clinical/commercial manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytical, Regulatory, and Quality.
• Prepare technical documentation including batch records, protocols, and regulatory submissions (IND, ANDA, NDA as needed).
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and ICH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in formulation development of solid oral dosage forms.
• Strong understanding of granulation, compression, encapsulation, and coating processes.
• Familiarity with QbD, DOE, and risk-based development approaches.
• Excellent analytical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
