AI/ML Imaging Scientist
AI/ML Imaging Scientist
A stealth-mode startup is developing next-generation AI solutions for clinical diagnostics, with a focus on multimodal data fusion. The company integrates radiological imaging (MRI, CT, PET, SPECT), genomics, EHR, and other clinical data to enhance diagnostic accuracy, reduce patient risk, and streamline clinical workflows. The founding team includes experts in medical imaging, AI, and data science, with deep experience in both academia and industry.
The AI/ML Imaging Scientist will lead the development of machine learning models for radiological data analysis and multimodal fusion. This role involves working with real and synthetic datasets to build scalable, privacy-compliant, and clinically validated solutions that support diagnostic and treatment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize deep learning models for radiological image analysis (e.g., MRI, CT, PET, SPECT).
- Design and implement multimodal data fusion pipelines integrating imaging, EHR, genomics, and other clinical data.
- Apply image enhancement techniques such as denoising, super-resolution, and dose reduction.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to validate model outputs and improve interpretability.
- Work with synthetic and real datasets to train, test, and validate models.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Contribute to internal research, publications, and regulatory documentation.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML applied to medical imaging.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV, SimpleITK).
- Experience with DICOM, HL7, and EHR data formats.
- Strong understanding of CNNs, transformers, and multimodal learning.
