About the Role
This rapidly growing pharma company is looking for a Formulation Scientist with expertise in solid oral dosage forms to join their expanding pharmaceutical development team. This role is ideal for a scientist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about developing high-quality drug products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of solid oral formulations including tablets, capsules, and granules, supporting both early-stage and late-stage development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize formulations for solid oral dosage forms (IR, MR, ER tablets and capsules).
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, excipient compatibility, and stability assessments.
- Support scale-up, tech transfer, and clinical/commercial manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytical, Regulatory, and Quality.
- Prepare technical documentation including batch records, protocols, and regulatory submissions (IND, ANDA, NDA as needed).
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in formulation development of solid oral dosage forms.
- Strong understanding of granulation, compression, encapsulation, and coating processes.
- Familiarity with QbD, DOE, and risk-based development approaches.
- Excellent analytical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
