Overview

We are working with a global leader in life sciences to hire a Field Application Specialist to support their expanding portfolio across the Netherlands.

The Role

As a Field Application Specialist, you will be a key link between customers and the commercial team, with responsibilities including:

• Delivering instrument demonstrations across advanced laboratory technologies (including qPCR and NGS)
• Providing pre- and post-sales technical support to customers in research and clinical laboratories
• Acting as the scientific expert, supporting customers with troubleshooting and workflow optimisation
• Partnering closely with the sales team during customer meetings, evaluations and installations
• Delivering training sessions, workshops, and seminars to end users
• Building long-term relationships with key customers and opinion leaders
• Supporting product adoption and contributing to business growth in the region

Your Profile

• Strong academic background in Molecular Biology or related field
• Hands-on experience with qPCR and/or NGS technologies
• Previous experience as a Field Application Specialist, Application Scientist or similar customer-facing role
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable working in a customer-facing and commercial environment
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Willingness to travel across the Netherlands
