Automation engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with strong experience in Siemens PLC systems to support automation projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Denmark. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of GMP-regulated environments and a proven track record in delivering automation solutions that ensure compliance, reliability, and efficiency.

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal).
• Support the integration of automation systems with SCADA, MES, and DCS platforms.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, validation, and quality assurance.
• Ensure all automation activities comply with GMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 standards.
• Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification of automation systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including design specifications, test protocols, and change controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (S7, TIA Portal).
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, iFIX) and batch control systems.
• Strong understanding of GMP, validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English; Danish language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Siemens PCS 7 or Simatic Batch.
• Knowledge of ISA-88/ISA-95 standards.
• Previous involvement in greenfield or brownfield pharma projects.
