Job Title: Account Director - Healthcare Advertising
Location: Hybrid in Ontario (3 days/week) OR Remote in Quebec
Overview:
Currently partnered with a dynamic, mid-sized healthcare advertising agency based in Ontario, dedicated to delivering innovative, strategic, and impactful campaigns for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Their team thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a shared passion for improving health outcomes through meaningful communication. They are looking for an experienced and strategic Account Director to lead client relationships, drive account growth, and oversee cross-functional initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pharmaceutical advertising, a deep understanding of both DTC and HCP engagement, and a passion for building lasting partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic lead for key accounts, fostering strong, trust-based relationships with clients.
- Guide brand and engagement strategy development, ensuring alignment with client goals and market dynamics.
- Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Partner with creative, medical, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive operational efficiency and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
- Mentor and lead internal account team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Contribute to pitch development and presentations for prospective clients.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client-specific therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in account management within a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency.
- Proven experience managing both DTC and HCP campaigns, as well as digital and print deliverables (emails, banners, leave behinds, brochures, websites, etc.).
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
