Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Contract) - Medical Device

Overview

Our client, a leading organisation within the medical device industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced embedded electronic systems. This is a contract position based in the Zurich region, offering the opportunity to work within a highly innovative and regulated environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain schematics and PCB layouts for embedded systems

• Take ownership of the electrical design and implementation of key electronic subsystems

• Conduct component selection, circuit design, and engineering trade-off analysis

• Plan and execute hardware verification and validation activities
  
  
• Develop and review test strategies, setups, and acceptance criteria
  
  
• Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation
  
  
• Contribute to and maintain design control processes

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar engineering role

• Proven experience in embedded electronics design

• Strong background in design verification and validation (V&V), including hands-on hardware testing
