Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Contract) - Medical Device
Overview
Our client, a leading organisation within the medical device industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced embedded electronic systems. This is a contract position based in the Zurich region, offering the opportunity to work within a highly innovative and regulated environment.
Design, develop, and maintain schematics and PCB layouts for embedded systems
Take ownership of the electrical design and implementation of key electronic subsystems
Conduct component selection, circuit design, and engineering trade-off analysis
- Plan and execute hardware verification and validation activities
- Develop and review test strategies, setups, and acceptance criteria
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation
- Contribute to and maintain design control processes
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar engineering role
Proven experience in embedded electronics design
Strong background in design verification and validation (V&V), including hands-on hardware testing
