Senior Regional Sales Manager - Midwest

Position Summary

We are seeking a collaborative, self-driven Senior Regional Sales Manager to join a growing commercial team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, this individual will be responsible for developing, executing, and driving the commercial strategy across the Midwest territory while supporting broader expansion efforts.

In this field-based role, you will build and maintain strong relationships across academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and government accounts, position advanced life sciences technologies within the market, contribute to the growth of the commercial organization, and consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.

This position is field-based with a home-office component. Must be located in the Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinios, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska)


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory and account-based sales strategy across the Midwest region
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets and performance goals
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers in both formal and informal settings
  • Consult with customers on the value of advanced life sciences solutions to drive adoption and ensure a strong customer experience
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate customer needs and inform future product development and market expansion
  • Manage the full sales cycle within a complex, solution-based sales environment
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity and data within CRM systems
  • Provide reliable and consistent sales forecasts for the territory
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the region
  • Support the continued build-out and scaling of the commercial organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • 8+ years of successful capital equipment or complex life sciences sales experience
  • Strong understanding of biomarker discovery and broader life sciences markets
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Preferred locations include Chicago, Minneapolis, or Indianapolis

** Strong preference to candidates with technical sales experience in proteomics


Compensation

  • Base salary: $140,000 - $175,000
  • Additional compensation: commission, equity, and benefits
  • Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location
