Role Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and executing strategic initiatives across key accounts, including dermatologists, pharmacies, and integrated health systems. This role promotes the company's dermatology portfolio and requires strong clinical, business, and consultative selling skills.
Responsibilities
- Drive demand and exceed sales targets for the company's Rx dermatology portfolio, including new product launches
- Develop and execute account plans to grow, retain, and penetrate key customers
- Apply market insights, contracting knowledge, and access strategies to optimize performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., market access, reimbursement) to support account success
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs and key stakeholders
- Lead customer engagement initiatives and manage speaker bureau relationships
- Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and anticipate customer needs
- Ensure all activities comply with company and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of outside sales experience; 2+ years in pharmaceutical or dermatology sales
- Account management and B2B sales experience preferred
- Proven track record of strong sales performance
- Strong communication, business acumen, and consultative selling skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage a territory independently
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and results-driven
- Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting tools
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 - Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
