Overview
We are seeking experienced Automation Commissioning Engineers to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing site in South‑Central Ireland during an extensive commissioning and qualification (C&Q) programme. This is a long‑term project within a complex API manufacturing environment, running through 2028.
You will join an established Digital/Automation team, working closely with a mature C&Q organisation to support commissioning activities across multiple process areas, with a strong focus on DeltaV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support automation commissioning and qualification activities across assigned process areas
- Provide hands‑on DeltaV expertise during commissioning, start‑up, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting
- Configure and support DeltaV control strategies and system functionality (coding/configuration required)
- Work closely with C&Q, Engineering, Quality, and vendor teams
- Review and support resolution of commissioning and qualification documentation issues
- Coordinate automation interfaces with process equipment and utility systems
Key Requirements
- Strong DeltaV experience, including configuration and commissioning
- API manufacturing background (reactors, filter dryers, solvent handling, and utilities experience preferred)
- Proven experience supporting commissioning/C&Q activities in GMP environments
- Comfortable in a hands‑on, site‑based role through commissioning and start‑up
Contract Details
- Start date: ASAP / Potential Flexibility
- Duration: 12‑month initial contract, with extensions expected (projects through 2028)
- Location: South‑Central Ireland (on‑site, 4/5 days per week)
