Manufacturing Engineer (Eng 1/2)

We have a current opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer (Eng 1/2) on a contract basis. The position will be based in Ireland. For further information about this position please apply.

Job Summary:

As a Manufacturing Engineer (Level 1-2), you will support the development, optimisation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and compliance with safety standards. This role is ideal for early-career engineers with 1-3 years of experience or recent graduates with strong internship or co-op backgrounds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and process validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to resolve production issues.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, downtime, and yield.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (internships included).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytically and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
