Development Engineer - Data Analysis
On behalf of a leading medical device innovator, I'm currently supporting the search for a Development Engineer with a strong background in data analysis, cloud technologies (AWS), and SAMD regulatory standards. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on extracting and interpreting data from a single device, identifying root causes, and implementing real-time solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze data from a single medical device to identify anomalies and performance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in real time, collaborating with R&D and Quality teams.
- Design and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, IoT Core).
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, and other relevant SaMD standards.
- Support verification and validation activities with data-driven insights.
- Document findings and corrective actions in line with regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Medical Device R&D, ideally with exposure to SaMD.
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-based data architecture.
- Proficient in Python, MATLAB, R, or similar tools for data analysis.
- Solid understanding of IEC 62304, and ISO 13485.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset - someone who thrives in fast-paced, problem-solving environments.
