Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of specialty chemical raw materials and additives within the coatings and rubber markets.
- Maintain and strengthen existing relationships with key customers, suppliers, and distribution partners.
- Identify and acquire new business opportunities across Germany and wider European markets.
- Drive the introduction and commercialization of new products and technologies within the assigned portfolio.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers, helping identify the best solutions for their applications.
- Develop and implement sales and product strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
- Conduct regular market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and trend monitoring to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and manage annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the assigned product group.
- Lead supplier relationship management activities, including negotiations, portfolio reviews, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure successful execution of commercial initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and supplier events.
- Promote a proactive business development approach with a strong focus on market expansion and long-term value creation.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within coatings, rubber, specialty chemicals, polymers, additives, or related industries.
- Strong technical understanding of coatings formulations, polymers, rubber compounds, additives, pigments, resins, or performance materials.
- Proven commercial experience within specialty chemical distribution, manufacturing, or technical sales environments.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and supplier management.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and develop new market opportunities.
- Experience managing technical and commercial discussions with customers across multiple industries.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- High willingness to travel across Germany and Europe.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
