EHS Consultant

EHS Consultant - Midlands Ireland (Construction Project)
We are seeking an experienced EHS Consultant to support a major biotech facility construction project in Midlands Ireland. The role focuses on site safety leadership, compliance, and supporting safe delivery of a busy capital project.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily EHS support across the construction site
• Promote strong safety culture across contractors and project teams
• Review risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
• Oversee PTW processes and ensure alignment with site procedures
• Monitor compliance with Irish EHS legislation and project standards
• Participate in site meetings and provide proactive safety guidance
• Support toolbox talks, inductions, and contractor engagement
• Lead or support incident and near‑miss investigations and follow-up actions
• Maintain accurate EHS reporting and documentation
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve site safety performance

Requirements:

• ~10 years' EHS experience, including significant construction exposure
• Experience working client-side on large capital projects
• Strong understanding of Irish EHS legislation and construction safety
• Skilled in risk assessments, method statements, PTW, and incident investigation
• Effective communicator with ability to influence contractors and stakeholders
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong organisational skills

Desirable:

• Experience in pharma/biotech or other regulated environments
• Relevant EHS qualifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, diploma, etc.)
• Familiarity with commissioning/start-up phases
