A reputable, industry leading Pharma company is seeking a Director of Government Pricing & Compliance individual for the expansion of their Market Access team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all government pricing calculations and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies for the U.S. vaccine business. This role provides strategic guidance to Market Access teams and senior leadership, particularly in areas of pricing, government contracts, and policy changes. The candidate must also lead compliance efforts and apply predictive analytics to assess how private sector strategies impact government pricing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Oversee Government Pricing Compliance: Manage the end-to-end Government Pricing Calculation process to ensure full compliance with U.S. regulations and internal policies, while maintaining accuracy across pricing systems and training programs.
- Strategic Guidance and Risk Mitigation: Chair the Market Access Compliance Committee, conduct risk assessments to identify and close process gaps, and provide expert input on the government pricing impact of changes in commercial pricing or contracting strategies.
- Forecasting and Financial Reconciliation: Develop forecasts to assess how commercial pricing strategies affect government pricing metrics, and ensure accuracy by reconciling government pricing data with general ledger entries and transaction records.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Policy Monitoring: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on compliant pricing strategies, and stay up to date on federal regulatory changes to proactively adapt government pricing policies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degrees are preferred.
- 10+ Years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing with at least 3 years specifically in government pricing calculations
- In-depth knowledge of US Government Pricing regulations for Federal Contracts including FSS, Medicare (ASP), and Medicaid
- Proficient in analyzing complex data sets and working with contract data systems (SAP, Model N)
- Possess strong forecasting capabilities and experience in pricing strategy development
- Have advanced skills in data analysis using Excel, Access, and other relevant applications
