We have a current opportunity for a Chemist on a contract basis. The position will be based in Cork.
The role is supporting a Product Transfer project, replicating complex manufacturing processes on a new site.
Job Description:
Will work within the chemistry team, under general supervision, with responsibility to ensure effective and efficient chemistry & laboratory practices, which includes, but not limited to the following:
- Complete sampling / testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished products, including physical & chemical testing, and chromatography and advanced Analytical Techniques.
- Complete routine verification activities.
- Complete ordering and control of consumables and testing chemicals.
- Complete documentation review / storage - verification and GMP checks on all raw data / logbooks / records. Filing and archiving of records.
- Control of documentation associated with Raw Material Receiving Inspection, Traceability and other Quality Records that are to be maintained by the Laboratory.
- Manage Retain Sample areas (on-site and off-site) and overall process.
- Co-ordinate the out-sourced testing and liaise with Contract Laboratories.
- Perform SME duties for Laboratory Equipment, peer-review and execute Equipment Qualifications and Test Method Validations.
- Proficient in troubleshooting issues and drive completion of records and actions to full completion, within the required timelines. Own "out of specification" investigations including the NC and CAPA where required, and perform relevant testing.
- Be competent in Technical Report Writing and have ability to document effectively. (i.e.: PEMAC forms, CDFs, SWFs, Technical Protocols, NC/CAPA records).
- Progress changes and updates through the QMS. Own ECR / ECNs , where required, complete Originator and QMS Approver tasks, where appropriate
- Coordinate Company and Laboratory Initiatives, e.g. 6S, EHS Actions
- Support both Internal and External Audits and lead audit preparation activities for Chemistry and labs areas.
- Identify and execute improvement & cost savings initiatives, support continuous improvements
Contract:
- 18 to 24 months
- Full-time hours
- On site in Cork
