An ambitious and fast-growing medical device organisation within the ophthalmology sector is seeking a Business Development Manager - Ophthalmology to drive market expansion and commercial success across Poland.

The Opportunity

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead business development initiatives for an innovative ophthalmic portfolio, supporting the adoption of advanced technologies in vision care. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building market presence, developing strategic partnerships, and accelerating revenue growth in a key European market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business development strategy and execution across Poland, delivering on growth targets
  • Identify, develop, and secure new commercial opportunities within ophthalmology clinics, hospitals, and surgical centres
  • Build strong relationships with ophthalmologists, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and healthcare stakeholders
  • Support and expand distribution channels and partnerships, where applicable
  • Lead tender processes, negotiations, and commercial agreements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and regulatory teams to support product launches and adoption
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within medical devices, ideally ophthalmology or a related surgical field
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and opening new accounts
  • Strong network within the Polish ophthalmology or healthcare landscape
  • Experience working with hospitals, clinics, and procurement processes
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset with the ability to operate independently
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in Polish and English required
