Territory Account Manager

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Territory Account Manager. to join a midsize and stable client. This field-based role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor relationships, and expanding market presence within a defined geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using industry directories, trade shows, online platforms, and other sources.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with prospective and existing customers to present products and solutions.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations using samples, literature, and catalogs, emphasizing features and benefits.
  • Prepare quotes, estimate delivery timelines, and manage the sales process from lead generation to order fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners, including joint sales calls and participation in vendor fairs and rep events.
  • Spend over 50% of time in the field conducting sales calls and customer visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with inside sales to ensure account data is current and customer needs are met.
  • Support customer training and assist in onboarding new sales team members.
  • Resolve customer issues related to deliveries and service.
  • Attend trade shows and sales seminars to stay informed on industry trends and product developments.
  • Occasionally conduct market research to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Microbiology or a related scientific field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
