EPM Scientific are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical organisation advancing an innovative pipeline within Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and inflammatory diseases. They are urgently seeking a Senior Global Medical Manager - Pipeline Lead Gastroenterology (IBD), reporting to the Global Medical Affairs Lead, to support the development of global medical affairs strategies, evidence generation frameworks, and scientific engagement activities for pipeline assets. This position will play a key role in translating scientific data into actionable medical strategies, driving evidence planning, and shaping the future positioning of novel therapies across the product lifecycle.

  • Project: Global Medical Strategy & Evidence Generation for Gastroenterology (IBD) and Inflammation Pipeline Assets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and independently draft global medical affairs strategies and evidence generation frameworks for Gastroenterology, IBD, and inflammation pipeline compounds across all stages of development.
  • Evaluate pre-clinical, clinical, and real-world evidence datasets to identify evidence gaps, unmet medical needs, differentiation opportunities, and future evidence requirements.
  • Design and author Evidence Generation Plans (EGPs), product evidence roadmaps, and scientific frameworks to support development, regulatory, market access, and commercialization objectives.
  • Lead the development of Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) and Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) strategies, including instrument selection, scientific justification, and integration into future clinical development programs.
  • Create medical narratives, publication strategies, scientific communication plans, educational content, and data dissemination frameworks for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct competitive landscape assessments and develop stakeholder engagement strategies involving key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, health authorities, and payer organisations while providing scientific presentations and expert medical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Extensive Global Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including responsibility for pipeline or early asset strategy.
  • Deep therapeutic expertise in Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Inflammation, Immunology, or closely related disease areas.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing Real-World Evidence (RWE), Outcomes Research, Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA), and Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional global initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and translate complex scientific data into strategic medical recommendations.
  • Excellent scientific communication, publication planning, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally when required.
