Medical Affairs Director

EPM Scientific are currently partnered with an international healthcare company focused on innovative wound care, skin health, and medical technologies. They are seeking a Medical Affairs Director to lead the global medical and clinical strategy across an expanding product portfolio and pipeline. This position will play a critical role in aligning clinical evidence generation, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives to support continued international growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the global medical and clinical evidence generation strategy across marketed products and pipeline assets.
• Define clinical development and evidence-generation roadmaps to support regulatory submissions, lifecycle management, market access, and commercial objectives.
• Provide strategic oversight of clinical investigations, PMCF activities, real-world evidence programs, and broader clinical research initiatives.
• Act as the senior medical expert supporting Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R&D, Market Access, and Commercial teams.
• Lead and develop Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs teams, ensuring successful execution of clinical programs and scientific engagement activities.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders, scientific experts, medical societies, and external stakeholders globally.
• Translate clinical and scientific data into actionable insights that support product positioning, differentiation, and business growth.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure evidence-generation plans support reimbursement, HEOR, and market access requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
• 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Development, or Medical Strategy within medical devices, pharma, biotech, or healthcare.
• Strong experience in wound care, dermatology, skin health, medical devices, or related therapeutic areas.
• Deep expertise in clinical evidence generation, PMCF, clinical investigations, and regulatory support.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams within an international environment.
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions and product lifecycle management.
• Strong track record engaging with KOLs, healthcare professionals, medical societies, and external stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to align medical and clinical strategy to business objectives.
• Previous people management and leadership experience.
• Experience within a growing SME or entrepreneurial healthcare environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic leadership skills.
