Senior C++ Engineer - Medical Imaging

Our client is a global medical technology organisation developing advanced imaging and vision-based systems used within highly regulated healthcare environments.

They are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design and development of next-generation imaging platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of software and hardware, requiring expertise in high-performance C++ development, image acquisition systems, sensor integration and technical leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop software for advanced imaging and vision-based systems
• Work closely with hardware engineers responsible for cameras, sensors and processing platforms
• Develop software used to acquire, process and analyse image data
• Build and optimise high-performance applications in C++
• Support algorithm development and validation using MATLAB
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple locations
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, design and software quality
• Contribute to products operating within regulated environments
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices

Required Experience

• Expert-level C++ development experience
• Strong MATLAB experience
• Experience working at the software/hardware interface
• Understanding of cameras, sensors, imaging systems or signal processing technologies
• Experience developing software on Windows platforms
• Senior or Principal Engineer level background
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
