The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sales Representative to join the Interventional Cardiology team, covering Western Austria.

This role is ideal for candidates with a medical, clinical, or early commercial background who are looking to develop a career in medtech sales. You will be responsible for supporting the growth of a highly specialised product portfolio and building strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders.

You will work closely with an experienced Sales Manager and play a key role in driving market penetration within your territory.

This position is offered as a fixed-term contract (~2 years) with strong potential for extension or permanent employment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and represent a portfolio of interventional cardiology products across your territory
  • Support account management activities and contribute to territory strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, cath lab teams, and hospital stakeholders
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts
  • Deliver product demonstrations and support clinical cases where required
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including CRM updates, reporting, and forecasting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g. marketing, supply chain, regulatory)
  • Attend and support congresses, workshops, and educational events
  • Provide market feedback and contribute to business planning

Product Portfolio

You will work with a broad interventional cardiology portfolio including:

  • Vascular access systems (introducer kits)
  • Closure devices
  • Catheters and therapeutic solutions
  • Guidewires and stent technologies

Candidate Profile

  • Degree or background in medical, life sciences, paramedical or pharmaceutical field
  • Initial experience in sales, clinical support or healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially driven with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to build credibility with healthcare professionals
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage a territory independently
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including CRM systems, Excel, and MS Office
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Western Austria
