Quality Specialist (Freelance - 12 Month Contract)

Brussels, Belgium | Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Specialist to join a leading medical device organisation based in Brussels on a 12-month freelance contract. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in quality remediation activities and ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality remediation projects across QMS processes
• Conduct gap analyses against ISO 13485 requirements
• Identify non-conformities and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA/RA, manufacturing, and engineering
• Update documentation, SOPs, and support audit readiness activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Specialist or Quality Engineer within the medical device industry
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 13485
• Hands-on experience in remediation projects and gap analysis
• Experience supporting internal or external audits
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
