Technical & Marketing Manager - Animal Nutrition

Role Overview
Reporting to the Marketing & Innovation Director, you will lead a marketing team of five professionals within a business specialising in nutritional solutions for livestock and aquaculture. Operating at the intersection of animal nutrition, applied science, and commercial strategy, you will be responsible for translating innovation into market‑ready offerings that support performance, sustainability, and profitability for producers globally. You will ensure the successful international positioning, differentiation, and technical credibility of the product portfolio across monogastrics, ruminants, and aquaculture species.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Contribute to the definition and execution of the global marketing strategy across diverse regions and production systems, including monogastric, ruminant, and aquaculture markets.

  • Advise senior leadership on strategic decisions related to portfolio evolution, market expansion, sustainability trends, and regulatory shifts affecting animal nutrition.
  • Ensure strong alignment between R&D/innovation pipelines and global market requirements, acting as a key interface with product development teams.
  • Oversee the entire brand architecture and product positioning to strengthen market visibility and long‑term competitive advantage.
  • Monitor performance metrics for all marketing initiatives, recommending and deploying corrective plans when needed.

Technical Support & Business Development

  • Serve as a senior technical authority in animal nutrition, supporting sales teams and customers on field challenges across poultry, swine, ruminant, and aquaculture production.
  • Provide expertise on feed formulation, nutrient optimisation, functional ingredients, regulatory compliance, and the practical application of products under varying production conditions.
  • Identify and develop technical solutions for customer issues, whether related to performance, feed efficiency, health challenges, or species‑specific requirements.
  • Adapt the product offering to local contexts-considering regional feeding systems, raw‑material constraints, aquaculture production environments, and customer objectives.
  • Highlight the scientific and technical value of products through high‑impact marketing materials, application guides, technical papers, species‑specific content, and commercial tools.
  • Ensure the commercial organisation receives robust technical training on nutrition principles, species biology, product functionality, and formulation strategies.
  • Integrate regulatory considerations related to feed safety, environmental impact, and industry standards into product positioning and long‑term planning.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Define departmental resource needs, lead recruitment, and manage budgeting for the marketing function.
  • Ensure team capabilities meet both immediate operational demands and the long‑term strategic needs of a growing animal nutrition business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing marketing team, promoting cross‑functional collaboration with technical, R&D, and commercial units.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, data‑driven decision‑making, and continuous improvement.
