Principal Scientist - Downstream Process Development

SUMMARY
We are a clinical-stage AAV Gene Therapy pharmaceutical company building out our process development team and looking for a candidate to help drive our current pipeline to a global market. As a Principal Scientist working in our Downstream Purification team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing the processes for AAV viral vectors. Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of our life-saving gene-editing & gene-modifying products from research to commercialization.
A Principal Scientist - Downstream Process Development will be responsible for:
- Leading a small team of process development scientists
- Driving the development and execution of robust strategies for downstream processes
- Leading and innovating downstream processes to optimize the production of AAV gene therapy viral vectors
- Assessing emerging scientific trends and methodologies to incorporate relevant advancements into project strategies
- Helping current early phase clinical trials advance into pivotal stages
A Principal Scientist - Downstream Process Development has the following qualifications:
- Sc., or Ph.D. (preferred) and 5-9+ years of experience in a relevant field
- Experience with AAV or LVV (biologics experience will be considered)
- Proficiency in Downstream Purification, Filtration, TFF, Scale-Up
