Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Packaging & Sterilisation Engineer to support a leading medical device manufacturing site. The successful candidate will play a key role in packaging and sterilisation activities associated with new product introductions, validation programmes, and engineering change initiatives. This position requires a strong technical background in medical device packaging systems, sterilisation processes, and validation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support packaging and sterilisation activities for new and existing medical device products.
- Drive packaging development, implementation, and validation activities across manufacturing operations.
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring packaging and sterilisation requirements are met.
- Lead sterilisation validation activities and provide ongoing technical support for sterilisation processes.
- Coordinate and execute change management activities related to packaging and sterilisation systems.
- Establish and validate packaging processes on manufacturing lines prior to sterilisation.
- Support product set-up, qualification, and validation activities within production environments.
- Develop, review, and approve validation documentation, including protocols and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D.
- Identify process improvements to enhance product quality, compliance, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory and quality system requirements.
