Key Account Manager - Substitution Therapy (f/m/d)
We are working on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to take ownership of strategic accounts within the substitution therapy area in Upper and West Austria. This field-based role focuses on building long-term, value-driven partnerships across key healthcare settings while operating in full compliance with industry regulations and codes of conduct.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop key accounts within substitution therapy, including addiction treatment centers, harm reduction organizations, medical centers, and pharmacies
- Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key public and private stakeholders
- Implement regional key account strategies aligned with commercial objectives and patient needs
- Deliver approved product- and therapy-area-related promotional activities
- Plan and execute educational and promotional events independently
- Conduct market, competitor, and account analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Represent the organization at regional and national congresses and professional meetings
- Analyze sales performance and commercial efficiency to drive continuous improvement
Profile
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in senior pharmaceutical sales within the Austrian market
- Strong knowledge of the Austrian healthcare system and key distribution channels
- Experience or strong exposure to substitution therapy preferred
- Established network within the assigned territory
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, strategic, and patient-focused mindset
- Native German and good English skills
