Business Development Specialist (Cell & Gene Therapy)

EPM Scientific is supporting growth in the cell and gene therapy (CGT) and discovery services market.

This Business Development Specialist will own a defined territory and is responsible for generating new business, expanding existing accounts, and executing the full sales cycle across low- to mid-volume customers. The role requires a balance of technical knowledge and commercial execution to effectively position solutions and close opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, pipeline development, closing, and account expansion

  • Drive new business opportunities and grow existing accounts through cross-selling

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM activity tracking

  • Execute against monthly and annual sales targets

  • Collaborate with technical, marketing, and product teams to align customer solutions

  • Communicate value propositions across discovery and CGT offerings

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma

  • Proven track record managing full sales cycle and achieving revenue targets

  • Strong knowledge of cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields

  • Understanding of drug discovery, preclinical development, and CGT landscape

  • Experience managing multiple accounts and maintaining a structured sales pipeline

  • CRM proficiency and forecasting experience

  • Ability to travel up to ~30%
