A leading medical device organisation is seeking a Clinical Application Specialist to support the adoption, training, and clinical use of innovative medical technologies across France.
This position would suit candidates with experience in urology, gynaecology, pelvic health, minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, neuromodulation, or other complex procedural therapies. Applications are also welcomed from Theatre Nurses, Scrub Nurses, Urology Nurses, Clinical Specialists, Product Specialists, and Operating Room professionals looking to transition into the medical device industry.
The successful candidate will act as the key clinical expert, supporting healthcare professionals during procedures, delivering education programmes, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medical devices within hospital environments. Key aspects of the role are based on responsibilities outlined in a Product Specialist Urology position, including operating room support, clinical training, collaboration with R&D, and technical product expertise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical and technical training to surgeons, physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
- Support healthcare professionals during procedures and operating room cases when required.
- Act as the primary clinical and technical expert for the product portfolio.
- Provide hands-on support during product evaluations, implementations, and new account launches.
- Serve as the point of contact for technical questions, product troubleshooting, and customer enquiries.
- Develop and continuously update training materials and educational programmes.
- Gather feedback from clinicians and end users to support product development and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Clinical, Marketing, Quality, and R&D teams, sharing customer insights and product performance feedback.
- Support clinical studies, product evaluations, and post-market activities where required.
- Plan travel and customer activities across France while maintaining accurate activity reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Experience within Urology, Gynaecology, Women's Health, Endoscopy, Pelvic Health, Neuromodulation, Surgical Devices, or other complex therapy areas.
- Strong understanding of operating room protocols and surgical workflows.
- Comfortable supporting clinicians during live procedures and providing in-theatre guidance.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and training abilities.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographical territory.
- Fluent French and professional English skills.
- Knowledge of clinical studies, medical device regulations, MDR 2017/745, or ISO 13485 would be advantageous.
