About the Opportunity:
A growing pharmaceutical company is seeking a highly motivated Oncology Sales Specialist to manage a strategically important territory across Central and Northern New Jersey.
In this role, you will develop and execute territory business strategies while building meaningful relationships with oncology providers, healthcare systems, academic institutions, and community-based practices. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve sales objectives and drive account growth.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nursing teams, and key healthcare stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, clinically focused product education tailored to customer needs and treatment environments.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer engagement and strengthen account development across the territory.
- Create and implement account-specific strategies to improve stakeholder access and support business objectives.
- Analyze territory performance, market dynamics, and competitive activity to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial Operations.
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, influential decision-makers, and leading oncology institutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, business plans, expenses, and territory activities within CRM systems.
- Support educational programs, speaker events, conferences, and other customer-facing initiatives as required.
- Provide timely market insights and customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support commercial planning and execution.
- Operate in full compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company policies while maintaining high professional standards.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in oncology, specialty pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related healthcare sales.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals within complex healthcare environments.
- Strong understanding of oncology customer engagement, account management, and territory planning.
- Ability to communicate scientific and clinical information effectively to healthcare professionals in a compliant manner.
- Experience developing strategic account plans and executing targeted business initiatives.
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to establish credibility with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and other key stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial teams.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and data-driven sales planning tools.
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer insights, and territory performance metrics to drive business decisions.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
- Previous oncology launch experience and established relationships within the territory are highly preferred.
- Experience managing large community oncology accounts, academic institutions, and major cancer centers is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
