Senior MSL (Dermatology)
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
- Minimum: Master's degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA)
- At least 2 years of experience as a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry
Required Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational and collaboration abilities
Additional Desired Experience:
- Presenting complex scientific data to healthcare professionals
- Therapeutic area expertise
- Clinical, research, or teaching background
- Ability to work in virtual and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards
Primary Responsibilities:
1. External Engagement (80% of Role):
- Build and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs and HCPs based on territory-specific plans.
- Share complex scientific and clinical data in a compliant, balanced, and accurate manner.
- Act as a scientific resource for external stakeholders, providing insights into Takeda's products and disease areas.
2. Scientific Expertise & Communication:
- Maintain deep knowledge of therapeutic areas, products, and the competitive landscape.
- Analyze and interpret scientific literature and clinical data to support external discussions.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs in a timely and compliant manner.
3. Research Support:
- Support investigator-initiated studies aligned with strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities for collaborative research with external experts.
4. Insight Gathering & Strategy Alignment:
- Collect and communicate medical insights from the field to internal teams to inform and refine medical strategies.
- Stay informed on key intelligence topics within the therapeutic area.
5. Conference Participation:
- Represent the company at medical conferences, including staffing booths and attending sessions.
- Capture and share insights gained from interactions and presentations.
6. Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Complete all required documentation (CRM entries, insights, expenses, training) accurately and on time.
