R&D Scientist - Bioprocess Development
EPM is currently seeking an experienced freelance R&D Scientist with a strong focus on bioprocess development and purification to join a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the field of bioprocess sciences, supporting the advancement of innovative technologies and therapeutic products.
This lab-based position will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and executing purification processes that are critical to the development of scalable and robust manufacturing solutions. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment alongside multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering high-quality results that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and execute experimental studies focused on purification process development and technology innovation.
- Conduct high-throughput (HTP) experiments, analyze complex datasets, and interpret results to inform next steps in process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including upstream development, analytical sciences, and quality assurance to ensure seamless workflow integration.
- Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and reproducibility.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering (BSc/MSc required; PhD preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience in laboratory settings, particularly in purification techniques such as chromatography and filtration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with GMP standards and quality control procedures is a plus.
