The Opportunity

The organisation is seeking an entrepreneurial Country Sales Manager Germany (m/f/d) to establish and lead its direct commercial activities across Germany.

As the company's first dedicated commercial leader in the market, the successful individual will take ownership of market development, physician engagement, therapy adoption, and future team growth. This represents a rare opportunity to build a commercial footprint from the ground up whilst working closely with European leadership.

Operating within a dynamic and fast-moving environment, the role will suit an individual who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and enjoys creating new opportunities in complex hospital-based markets.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

  • Own and drive commercial performance across Germany.
  • Execute a direct-to-hospital sales strategy focused on sustainable growth and therapy adoption.
  • Develop and implement country-level commercial plans aligned with wider European objectives.

Market Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across leading hospitals and specialist centres.
  • Drive market access initiatives, hospital approvals, and customer acquisition.
  • Establish a strong market presence and brand awareness within Germany.

Clinical & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with physicians, clinical stakeholders, procurement teams, and key opinion leaders.
  • Support educational programmes and clinical development initiatives.
  • Act as the primary commercial representative within the German market.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a national team as commercial activities expand.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on customer success and growth.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated success within the medical device industry.
  • Strong experience selling into complex hospital environments.
  • Track record of launching, scaling, or commercialising innovative medical technologies within Germany.
  • Strong understanding of hospital purchasing pathways and stakeholder engagement.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Germany.
