Job Title: Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations

Location: Europe (Remote)

Industry: CDMO (Contract development manufacturing organisation)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to drive strategic growth and commercial expansion for a leading organisation in the advanced therapy, CGT and Biologics market. This role will spearhead business development initiatives, cultivate strategic partnerships, and oversee complex deal negotiations to strengthen market presence and accelerate revenue growth whilst leading a team of business development managers and technical specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the company's commercial strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities, competitive trends, and strategic partnerships to expand the portfolio.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee preparation and negotiation of technical proposals, contracts, and strategic agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and account growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership on innovation, pricing, and financial forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine etc.)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in international business development or commercial leadership within the CDMO sector.
  • A strong preference for those with Large Molecule/Biologics/CMC portfolio experience.
  • Proven track record in strategic sales, negotiation, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in English (C1/C2 level); additional languages are a plus.
