Cardiology Account Manager
Cardiology Account Manager
📍 Must be located in Portland Metropolitan Area
About the Opportunity
Join a first-in-class commercial team driving adoption of novel therapies at the intersection of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. This organization is redefining how complex, high-risk patient populations are identified, managed, and treated - partnering closely with specialists, health systems, and care teams to improve real-world outcomes.
This is not a "plug-and-play" sales role. You'll have the autonomy to shape your territory, influence treatment pathways, and operate as a true business leader within your geography. Ideal for someone who thrives in build-mode environments and wants outsized impact.
What You'll Own
- Full accountability for territory performance, including strategy development, execution, and results delivery
- Deep engagement with cardiology and heart failure stakeholders across integrated delivery networks, academic centers, and community settings
- Identification and activation of high-value accounts through thoughtful segmentation and prioritization
- Development of tailored account plans that address clinical, operational, and access-related barriers
- Delivery of clinically sophisticated, data-driven conversations that resonate with specialist audiences
- Coordination with cross-functional partners (market access, medical, patient support) to unlock opportunities and remove friction
- Leadership of peer-to-peer programs, educational initiatives, and high-impact customer engagements
- Ongoing analysis of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and pull-through drivers to refine go-to-market approach
What Sets You Apart
- Proven ability to create demand in complex or emerging markets, not just maintain existing business
- Comfort engaging high-level clinical stakeholders and navigating nuanced, science-driven discussions
- Strong grasp of health system economics, access dynamics, and patient flow
- Track record of building territory strategy from the ground up and adjusting in real time
- Experience collaborating across functions to solve access, reimbursement, or operational challenges
- High ownership mindset - operates with urgency, accountability, and minimal oversight
Experience & Background
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of success in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales
- Background in cardiovascular, specialty therapeutics, or hospital-based selling strongly preferred
- Demonstrated history of exceeding performance metrics in competitive environments
- Experience working within large geographies and managing complex account ecosystems
Why This Role
- Opportunity to help shape the trajectory of a rapidly expanding therapeutic category
- Significant white space within the territory - real opportunity to build and grow
- Direct exposure to innovative clinical approaches addressing unmet patient needs
- High-visibility role within a lean, execution-focused commercial organization
- Competitive compensation structure with strong upside tied to performance
